Obama defends war as he picks up Nobel Peace Prize

The Nobel Peace Prize was given to President Barak Obama, upon receiving his Nobel, "President Barack Obama has said the US must uphold moral standards when waging wars that are necessary and justified, as he accepted his Nobel Peace Prize. In his speech in Oslo, he defended the US role in Afghanistan, arguing the use of force could bring lasting peace. He also said his accomplishments were slight compared with other laureates. Mr Obama was given the prize in October for his 'extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and co-operation between peoples.'" The issue of social control in this article is found within the President himself, President Barak Obama is the leader of the United States of America and carries strong stances when it comes down to the justification of the US troops in Afghanistan. By receiving this award and being leader the United States, he creates a foundation of justification for his actions and leaves little room for others to question his authority.
