MADISON, Wis. — Police arrested a Madison man they believe shot his girlfriend and their small children during a domestic dispute.

Donte Beasley, 38, was booked into the Dane County jail Tuesday afternoon. According to a search warrant application, he opened fire on 42-year-old Zenolia Rice, their 8-year-old daughter, Destiny Beasley, and their 7-year-old son, Donte Beasley Jr. in the duplex they shared Saturday morning.

The court documents say the dispute began after Rice refused to have sex with Beasley.

Online court records didn't list an attorney for Beasley. Attorney Nancy Vue, who represented Beasley in a driving-after-revocation case earlier this year, didn't immediately return a message.

This article is very sad. People who commit these crimes are horrible individuals. I think that the social control here is that there is a stigma when two people are in a relationship sex is something that should happen no matter what. It is sad because whether you are in a relationship or not you have to respect the other person's wishes and if they do or don't want to have sex you need to respect that. There is no reason for this guy to kill everyone ever especially for this reason. I feel so bad that this happened. A lack of morals is a major reason for this crime.
