This article was posted Tuesday, November 24,2009. In the article a man that is most wanted for the tragic happening in Fallujah was captured by three Navy seals but these men are now facing criminal charges. Ahmed Hashim Abed was the man captured and told investigators that he had been punched in the face by the men that detained him and he had a bloody lip to prove it. The three men are being charged with dereliction of performance of duty and making a false official statement. The military has become more sensitive to detainee abuse because of the prison scandal in 2004. This is a form of social control because although I am not saying it was right for these meant to hurt this man after detaining him he is a murderer and helped to execute a very deadly mission in Fallujah. Politics have such a strong hold on what is and isn't allowed that I think the military is just constantly being watched and somebody is always trying to find something wrong with them. I think this war is not welcomed by many and this reflects horribly on the men and women who are out there trying to fight the war.
