In this article it talks about how 3 boys were arrested for attacks that occurred in a middle school in California. Two of the three boys were arrested for suspicion of misdemeanor battery and the other was arrested for misdemeanor cyberbullying. This article is a good example of social control because these students got the idea of bullying red heads on a facebook message. They also got this idea from South Park the TV show. I think that it is interesting how kids this age are using communication systems like facebook to communicate ideas that they get from a TV show. First why are kids this young on these websites. I think that these websites like facebook should be meant for adults an not children. But because of the show that they love to watch they thought it was a good idea to act in the manner of bullying "gingers". The other control is the police found this on facebook and now are charged with cyberbullying. It is interesting how sites like facebook are being used to fight crime.
