A leader from the pro-life, far-right organization known as the American Family Association has called for the purging of Muslims soldiers from the ranks of the U.S military after the killings at Fort Hood. The reason the leader called for the removal of Muslims is because he’s afraid Muslims pose a threat to national security. He details how a devout Muslim should kill infidels. Where did he get such information? Here we have an individual who is stereotyping another person without a thread of facts. This narrow minded leader of the American Family Association should be ashamed of himself. How can he assume that the actions of Major Nidal Malik Hasan were driven by his Islamic belief? The answer is we can only know after the investigation. We as Americans with our noble principles and ideas have always come together in National tragedy. I hope people will not be quick to judge. If we learned anything we should remember 9/11. Let the law enforcement officials do their duty and let justice take its course. This is an example of social control because we see a powerful association who is trying to influence governmental officials to weed Muslims out of the armed services.
