This article is interesting because the Officer asked for permission from the girls mother if he could use the taser on the 10-year-old girl. The officer was not fired for using the taser on the girl but he was fired because he failed to use the camera that is attached to the taser. I think that the social control in this situation is the camera on the taser. The camera controls the officer completely. By him not using the camera the officers actions are not recorded and Police department is monitoring the officers actions through video so they can both watch to see if the officer is acting correctly and to also have material to use when they are sued for misuse of the taser. The officer is now being watched now in his car and taser and being recorded by those instruments and the tape recorded the officer is supposed to use.
